The Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Kolkata has filed a report dated 11th November 2022 and the same is taken on record.

This Court does not find any satisfactory explanation with regard to the delay in registration of FIR or any details of any enquiry having been made. Mr. Chatterjee, learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner himself has admitted that immediately after receipt of the complaint the police visited the premises.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Kolkata shall ensure that complaints of the citizens are attended to more promptly by the officers heading police stations.

The parties have already taken their disputes before a civil forum.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
