Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is involved in transportation of a large volume of narcotics in two cartons containing 100 bottles each i.e 20000 bottles of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate which is above commercial quantity.

In view of the overwhelming materials disclosing involvement of the petitioner in the illegal transportation of narcotics and the statutory restrictions under section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
