Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that three co-accused were granted anticipatory bail. Other co-accused were granted bail. He draws the attention to the order of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Malda, granting anticipatory bail. He submits that the injury suffered is slight in nature.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the police personnel were assaulted by the petitioner when they reached the spot for execution of warrant of arrest.

There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner. Police personnel were assaulted by the petitioner and his family members while such police personnel were trying to execute the warrant of arrest.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 4489 of 2022 is dismissed.
