Affidavit of service filed in Court today is retained with the records.

The grievance of the petitioner is that permanent electricity connection has not been given to him despite payment of the quoted amount.

Learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited submits, upon instruction that, there was a discrepancy in the application made by the petitioner. The petitioner has been requested to remove the discrepancy and make fresh application for obtaining the connection. 4.

From the documents handed over by the learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited, it appears that a letter dated 27th August, 2024 addressed to the petitioner, was sought to be served upon him but as none was available, the letter could not be served. The reason for not proceeding with the application is disclosed in the said letter. 5.

The learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited is directed to hand over a copy of the said communication to the learned advocate representing the petitioner for taking steps for removal of the discrepancy.

It will be open for the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law for obtaining the electricity connection. Connection shall be provided to the petitioner upon compliance of all necessary formalities at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
