1. Report filed in Court be kept on record.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in August, 2022. This Court directed conclusion of trial at an early date. Report placed on record shows thereafter five witnesses have been examined. It cannot be said that the prosecution was lax and in conducting trial. Materials on record implicate the petitioner in the offence of murder. Offences, if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

4. Trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within two years from the next date fixed of recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
