Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the police filed charge sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. There are long pending civil disputes between the private parties. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the prayer for anticipatory bail of another co-accused was rejected by an order dated April 29, 2022 passed in CRM (A)1966 of 2022.

The present police case is of March 20, 2020. The petitioner did not approach the Court for any relief since then. There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner.

In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the long absconsion of the petitioner in respect of

a police case of March 2020, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 4498 of 2022 is dismissed.
