Petitioner is in custody for 129 days. He submits incident occurred in course of a fit of passion. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of eyewitnesses show petitioner hit the victim on his head. As a result, he succumbed to his injuries. Prima facie materials implicate the petitioner in the murder. Weapon of offence was also seized from him.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
