Matter is taken up for consideration in view of urgency as written examination in connection with 2nd State Level Selection Test for Recruitment of Assistant Teachers, 2025 for Classes IX & X in Government aided/sponsored schools is scheduled on 7th September, 2025.

It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that while submitting online application form inadvertently petitioner stated English as "medium of vacancy applying for"

instead of Bengali. Petitioner wants to be treated as a candidate who will fill up OMR as Bengali medium candidate.

West Bengal Central School Service Commission is represented by learned advocate who submits that petitioner applied under English medium while submitting online application indicating English against "medium of vacancy applying for" and in absence of necessary direction of Court petitioner is to be treated as English medium candidate.

State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, Court finds that within time petitioner submitted application form online and petitioner on being found to be eligible candidate to offer her candidature was supplied Admit Card which is at page 41 of the writ petition. 6.

West Bengal Central School Service Commission is directed to treat the petitioner as Bengali medium candidate instead of English medium.

Leave is granted to the learned advocate representing the petitioner to communicate this order to the West Bengal Central School Service Commission without waiting for server copy of the order.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

9.

However, there shall be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
