Domkal Police Station Case No. 334 of 2023 dated 19.05.2023 was registered under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and investigation of the case commenced. Thereafter the lady viz. Irina Parvin and the accused Raihan Sayeed have married each other. Their statements have been recorded by the concerned officer of Domkal Police Station and the concerned officer has also verified the marriage certificate which was produced by them.

Having regard to the larger interest of the society that the parties have married amongst themselves, I am of the view that further continuance of the police case may have detrimental effect.

Accordingly, all further proceedings relating to Domkal Police Station Case No. 334 of 2023 dated 19.05.2023 under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code are hereby quashed.

The revisional application being CRR 3293 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is, thus, allowed.

The observation made in this application is restricted to the facts of the present case and will not be a binding precedent in other cases.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
