1. Supplementary affidavit and the affidavit-ofservice filed on behalf the petitioner is kept with the records.

2. The petitioner alleges that one Pramod Singh @ Langra Pramod, who is a life convict and currently detained in the Balurghat Central Correctional Home is making threatening phone calls to the petitioner.

3. A complaint was allegedly lodged by the petitioner before the police. The petitioner prays for a direction to restrain the said convict from using any mobile phone from inside the prison.

4. I have perused the report forwarded by the Officer-in-Charge, Topsia Police Station signed on 2nd September, 2024. It appears therefrom

that on receipt of the complaint an enquiry was conducted by the police. The police tried to get in touch with the petitioner but he was not found at his recorded address. None of the occupants of the said address could provide any information about the petitioner. Several attempts were sought to be made over the mobile number which was recorded in his complaint but the phone calls went unanswered.

5. The Officer-in-Charge, Topsia Police Station has mentioned that the petitioner is avoiding the investigation agency for the reasons best known to him.

6. In view of the aforesaid, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that in the event the petitioner files any further complaint, then the same shall be considered by the authority in accordance with law.

7. The petitioner is directed to render full cooperation to the police for the purpose of causing any enquiry in response to any of his future complaints.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
