Criminal Revisional Jurisdiction 24-11-2022 Subha Item 119 Ct no.34 CRR 3537 of 2022 Smt. Shalini Agarwal -versus- Kamalesh Agarwal In Re : An application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure read with Section 143 of the N. I. Act, 1881.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the present case was initiated under the provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act for dishonour of cheques and the case has not progressed, although the same was filed in the year 2020. Learned advocate submits that the provisions of Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been completed and dates are being fixed for evidence. It has been informed that the next date for evidence is fixed on 10th January, 2023. The learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 11th Court, Calcutta is directed to fix at least one date in a month so that the trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

No unnecessary adjournments should any further be granted to either of the parties and all steps must be taken to conclude the trial without any unnecessary delay.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 3537 of 2022 is disposed of.
