Petitioner has filed this writ petition being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent Block Development Officer/respondent no.5 Patashpur-II, Block Office, in taking action on the basis of the complaint dated 31st March, 2023, by the respondent electricity authority being Annexure P-8 to the writ petition against disconnection of electricity of the petitioner by a third party/private respondent and it appears from the said complaint dated 31st March, 2023, that copy of the said complaint has been forwarded to the Officer-in-Charge, Patashpur Police Station.

The learned advocate representing the respondent electricity authority submits that it has got

no hand in the matter of disconnection and it has also got no objection if the electricity connection is restored by the petitioner himself.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition being WPA 21133 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the Block Development Officer concerned and the Officer-in-Charge, Patashpur Police Station to take necessary action for restoration of the electricity connection of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.
