Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, there is a issue of false implication. He refers to the fact scenario of the present case. He submits that, the issue as to who forged the signature needs to be answered before arriving at any criminal liability on the part of the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. Apparently, a vehicle was transferred from the owner to a person without the authority of the owner. The petitioner is one of the persons in this chain of transfer of ownership. Therefore, need for custodial interrogation of the petitioner cannot be overlooked.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 4516 of 2022 is dismissed.
