After hearing the parties, this court is of the view that the dispute involved between the petitioner and the private respondents pertains to an immovable property and the same is civil in nature.

The petitioner claims to have lodged a complaint before the Burdwan Sadar Police Station vide letter dated 20th of August, 2024 and the writ petition has been filed only on August 23, 2024. Without giving sufficient time to the police authorities to take a decision on the basis of the complaint, the petitioner has rushed to this court. However, taking note of the fact that in the meantime more than a month has lapsed, this court directs the Inspectorin-charge, Burdwan Sadar Police Station to consider the complaint and to take steps in accordance with law and to communicate the fate of the petitioner's complaint within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.

With regard to the dispute in respect of the immovable property between the private parties, the

parties will be at liberty to approach the civil court for appropriate reliefs.

With the above observation and direction the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Needless to mention that it is the duty of the police authority to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities.
