The subject matter of the instant writ petition is the order of the respondent no. 7/authority in a mutation case under the provisions of West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (hereinafter referred to as 'the said Act' in short).

It appears to this Court that there is a provision for appeal under Section 54 under the said Act challenging the order passed by the jurisdictional BL & LRO. 3.

In view of the availability of the alternative remedy and in view of the fact that the writ petitioners have miserably failed to show the despite availability of alternative efficacious statutory remedy, a case has been made out on behalf of the writ petitioners invoking the high prerogative writ jurisdiction of this Court, this Court is not inclined to entertain the instant writ petition especially when, no material could be placed before this Court that the respondent no. 7/authority has passed the order impugned without following the principle of natural justice and/or respondent no.

7/authority has got no authority to pass the order under challenge.

With the aforementioned observations, the instant writ petition being WPA 21140 of 2025 is dismissed. 5.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities.
