Mr. Anirban Roy, learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the alleged Contemnor has submitted that a payment of sum of Rs. 2,55,328/- has been made to the petitioner. According to him, all the dues with regard to the salary for the period from June 23, 1992 to June 30, 2004 has been paid after due adjustment of the subsistence allowance.

It is to be noted that simple interest @ 7% p.a. has also been paid by the authorities.

The petitioner admits having received such payment. He, however, submits that there may be some more dues with regard to the subsistence allowance. In my view, the order dated January 12, 2018 against which the petitioner has filed this contempt application has been duly complied with, and accordingly, no further action is required in this contempt application. Accordingly, this contempt application is disposed of.

However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law, if so advised. ( Shekhar B. Saraf, J.)
