The petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition alleging inaction on the part of the police authorities with respect to multiple complaints lodged by her. It is the case of the petitioner that she has been constrained to file several complaints dated 13.09.2023, 21.01.2024, 03.02.2024, 23.03.2024, 30.04.2024, 12.05.2024 and 19.08.2024. Despite her repeated representations no substantive action has been taken by the police authorities.

In the present Writ Petition, the petitioner contended that she has been subjected to continuous harassment, physical abuse and mental torture at the hands of her son and her daughter-in-law. The

situation has escalated to such an alarming extent that they have allegedly attempted to murder her and drive her out of the apartment in order to gain absolute possession over the apartment which caused here in a constant state of fear and agony.

Mr. Wasim Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the matter primarily concerns a family dispute involving the petitioner, her son, daughter-in-law and their children. It is further submitted that while the complaints pertained to disputes of a domestic nature, the State authorities remain committed to ensuring the safety and protection of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the State has further given an assurance to this Court that if the petitioner approaches the concerned authorities seeking protection, all necessary measures will be promptly taken to ensure her safety.

Police authorities are directed to act on the server copy of this order.

With this above observations and directions, the present Writ Petition stands disposed of.
