The petitioner is in custody for two years nine months. He prays for bail on the ground of delay in progress of the trial and prolonged detention.

Learned Advocate for the State says that witness action is over. Examination under Section 313 Cr.P.C. is also complete. Today (4.9.2024) has been fixed for argument. 3.

In view of the fact that the trial is on the verge of conclusion, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail.

The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. 5.

CRM (NDPS) 1362 of 2024 is dismissed.

However, keeping in mind the already prolonged incarceration of the petitioner, we direct the learned Signed By :

Trial Court to conclude the trial by delivery of judgment as soon as possible but positively by the end of September, 2024.
