In Re: Kartick Chandra Mukherjee ...Petitioner Mr. Suddhadev Adak Ms. Arpita Mondal ... for the petitioner Mr. S.S. Imam Mr. S. Kundu ...for the State The petitioner was allegedly involved in a ponzi scam. Investigation is complete. Chargesheet was submitted way back on 26th June, 2020.

We are of the opinion that there is no ground at this point of time to arrest the petitioner, since such exercise has not been carried out earlier. We, accordingly, allow this application for anticipatory bail on the following terms and conditions, only with the observation that the trial should be speedily conducted and concluded:

In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing security of Rs. 10,000/- together with personal release bond of equivalent value to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh, Hooghly.

We impose further conditions that:

a. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

b. The petitioner will not leave the jurisdiction of the Arambagh Police Station without the permission of the Officer-in-Charge, c. The petitioner shall appear before the court below and pray for regular bail within a period of four weeks from date.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of.
