The petitioner alleges that the police authorities have not taken any steps in spite of the fact that a complaint was lodged by the petitioner with the Officer-in-Charge of Parnashree Police Station by a letter dated July 12, 2024.

The learned Advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Officer-in-Charge of Parnasree Police Station, dated October 3, 2024, which is taken on record.

Mr. Sengupta, learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that pursuant to the said complaint, an FIR has been registered, being Parnashree Police Station Case No. 532 dated August 28, under Sections 341/323/324/427/506/379 of the Indian Penal

Code. The report further states that the investigation is in progress.

Since the FIR has been registered and the investigation is in progress, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation expeditiously and to take all consequential steps thereupon.

It will be open to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional court in the event the petitioner is not satisfied with the further progress of the investigation.

Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Pursuant to the direction passed, a copy of the report and the FIR have been supplied to the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner in Court today.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be given to the parties.
