1. This is the application filed for expeditious disposal of the proceeding pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.

2. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the matter is pending since 2017 and it is the complainant at whose instance several adjournments were prayed for causing delay in disposal of the case.

3. Petitioner has further submitted that on the date fixed for taking evidence of de facto complainant she did not turn up and filed the writ petition before this Court. Accordingly, prays for direction for expeditious disposal of the proceeding.

4. Heard the submission of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and peruse the materials on record. It transpires from the certified copy that the evidence of P.W. 3 is going on. It further transpires that a criminal revision was filed by the de facto complainant and while disposing of the said application, direction was given by a co-ordinate Bench to the learned Court to take all effort to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible within a reasonable period of time. Vide the order passed in the year 2024. Prima facie on perusal of the certified copy of the order placed before this

Court it can be seen that adjournments were allowed on the prayer made on behalf of the de facto complainant herself. However, otherwise case is proceeding reasonably and evidence of P.W. 3 is going on out of the total number of 9 witnesses.

However, since the direction was earlier granted by the coordinate Bench, for expeditious disposal long back this Court, further reiterates and direct the learned Magistrate to make all endeavour to dispose of the proceeding pending him at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties within a period of reasonable time at an earliest considering the long pendency of the matter.

6. With the above direction, the revisional application is disposed of.
