The petitioner contends that she has already tendered the amount as directed to be paid by the ombudsman. It is submitted that the petitioner was asked to pay Rs.9,80,668/- raised by the distribution company as per the demand notice which is at page 92 of the writ petition.

It is contended by the petitioner that although the outstanding dues, as directed by the ombudsman, had been tendered, electricity connection should be restored.

The authority is directed to encash the demand draft and restore the supply. The authority will ensure that the supply is restored within September 9, 2024. If there is any other formality to be complied, the same shall be informed to the petitioner.

Needless to mention, reconnection charges will also be paid by the petitioner. The current dues, upon restoration of supply, shall be paid by the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
