Mr. Sanat Kr. Roy, Mr. Baidurya Ghosal ...for the Petitioner Mr. Arkadipta Sengupta ...for the State The writ petitioner is the holder of a permit for operating a bus service on the route from "Burdwan to Barsul via G.T. Road." The said permit was valid until September 4, 2025.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that a representation dated August 12, 2025, has been made by the petitioner before the Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan, seeking renewal of the permit. However, the said representation has not yet been considered.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the petitioner's prayer shall be considered by the Regional Transport Authority Board, Purba Bardhaman, in its next scheduled meeting.

In view of the above, I do not find any justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Regional Transport Authority Board, Purba Bardhaman, to consider the petitioner's prayer for renewal of the permit in accordance with law at its next meeting. The decision taken thereon shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.

With the aforesaid direction, WPA 21414 of 2025 stands disposed of.
