As many as eight petitioners being aggrieved by the reasoned order passed by the Additional District Magistrate (Dev.), Birbhum dated August 27, 2025 (Annexure P5, p.57) communicated to the petitioners by the District Programme Officer (ICDS), Birbhum vide communication dated August 28, 2025 have filed the instant writ petition.

The case made out by the petitioners before the authority stood rejected on all counts. The respondent-authority appears to have given reasons for rejecting the claim of the petitioners. The reasoning does not appear to be so arbitrary requiring interference by the writ Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the authority may be directed to take a decision to fix separate dates in respect of the bids to be submitted for the purpose of storing and carrying. The said prayer of the petitioner was considered and the same has also been rejected by the authority.

The Court is of the opinion that the tender inviting authority is the best authority to assess the requirement of the authority and fix dates and conditions accordingly. The decision making process of the authority does not appear to be erroneous.

The Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned decision. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
