Heard learned counsels for the parties.

It appears from the report submitted by the Block Development Officer, Murarai - I Development Block, being the 4th respondent herein, that fifty per cent of the amount due to each of the petitioners has been paid from the fund of the Panchayat Samity. The remaining amount could not be disbursed due to paucity of fund. The work was completed by the petitioners in 2015.

In view of the above, the Murarai Panchayat Samity I is directed to take necessary steps for disbursal of the entire due amount of the petitioners within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. No fruitful purpose shall be served by keeping the writ petition pending. The same is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
