Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by this Court vide an order passed on April 28, 2022 in CRM(A) No. 1950 of 2022. The petitioner appeared before the learned Trial Court on all the dates fixed by the learned Court. He was unable to appear before the learned Court on August 06, 2024. Though an application under Section 317 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was submitted on his behalf, the application was not moved and the learned counsel for the petitioner was also not found on repeated calls. The learned Trial Court directed issuance of warrant of arrest against the petitioner. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Trial Court within a fortnight from date.
In the event the petitioner surrenders before the learned Trial Court within a fortnight from date, the learned Trial Court shall allow the petitioner remain on the same bond. The warrant of arrest issued vide an order dated August 06, 2024 be stayed till October 08, 2024.
In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Trial Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned Trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.
The revisional application being CRR No. 3695 of 2024 is disposed of.
