April 22, UPON READING a petition of Malati Layek and the affidavit of verification thereof, dated 25th August, 2017 and the annexures to the said petition and upon hearing Ms. Bharati Dutta, learned Advocate for the Petitioner. IT IS ORDERED that a Rule do issue calling upon the alleged contemnor-opposite party no. 1 namely Jagabandhu Banerjee, District Inspector of Schools (PE), Bankura, Pin. 722101, as mentioned in the contempt application (CPAN 1102 of 2017) to show cause why he should not be committed to prison or otherwise penalized or dealt with for having willfully and deliberately violated the Order dated 30.01.2017 passed by the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta in W.P. No. 19544(W) of 2016. AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pendency of this Rule shall not preclude the alleged contemnorsopposite parties to comply with the Order dated 30.01.2017.
The Rule is made returnable on May 6, 2024 at 10.30 A.M.
On the returnable date, IT IS ORDERED the alleged contemnor-opposite party no.1 aforesaid shall appear personally before this Court at 10.30 A.M. and shall not leave Court without permission.
Let the Rule be served personally on the alleged contemnor-opposite party no.1.
The petitioner shall put in Special Messenger Costs with the department in course of the next three days to expedite service of the Rule on the contemnor no.1.
