The petitioner, on June 11, 2007, had joined as a Junior Library Attendant at Bagila Bankim Pathagar, P.O. Bagila, P.S. Memari, District: Purba Bardhaman.

The petitioner due to some undisclosed reasons was missing since January 3, 2019, obviously did not attend his duty, however, on January 30, 2024 he returned to his home. The petitioner thereafter by a representation dated May 29, 2024 has requested the District Library Officer, Purba Bardhaman, the respondent no.5 herein to allow him to resume duty. The said representation forms part of the writ petition. Mr. Bari, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the respondent no.5 may be directed to dispose of the said representation.

The representation is pending for last one year. The respondent no.5 is directed to dispose of the said representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. WPA 21440 of 2025 is disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
