Dan ... for the State Pursuant to the order dated 8.9.2023, a report has been submitted by the officer in charge of Kharagpur All Women P.S. in connection with All Women Police Station FIR no. 02 of 2020 dated 20.01.2020 under Sections 498A/354/406/307/34 of the IPC.

The investigating agency after completion of investigation submitted charge-sheet against the present petitioners.

Having considered the nature of the allegations and the statement as well as the declaration which has been made by the defact-complainant, namely, Pydi Mohini, wherein she has stated that there has been amicable settlement and she do not intend to pursue the present case, I am of the view that as the case commenced out of matrimonial discord, further proceedings of this case is

unwarranted in the background of the circumstances narrated in the report.

Accordingly, all further proceedings of All Women Police Station, Kharagpur P.S., FIR No. 02 of 2020 dated 20.01.2020 under sections 498A/354/406/307/34 of the IPC, is hereby quashed.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3318 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
