Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of BGR Case No.5056 of 2020 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 9th Court, Alipore, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that out of six witnesses, three witnesses have been examined. The matter is pending since 2020.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The revisional application being CRR 3842 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
