Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Avik Ghosh Ms. Ankusha Ghosh ....for the petitioner Mr. Debasish Roy, ld. PP Mr. Kunal Ganguly ....for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the victim had purchased country liquor from the petitioner's shop and after sometime his dead body was found on a piece of land. The petitioner is in no way connected to the alleged murder. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the case diary and refers to the statement of a witness giving out a case of last seen together as also to the post mortem report, which showed that the victim died due to head injury.

Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary including the statement of the witness recorded before a Magistrate giving out a last seen together account, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
