Mr. Bibaswan Bhattacharya ...for the petitioners. Since the prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of C. Case No.422 of 2017 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that the case was registered on June 15, 2017 and during the span of more than seven years, charge has not been considered.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the case within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 3708 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
