The petitioner was gifted a property by his father. Without any prior notice, the private respondents filed a civil suit making the petitioner's father a party and obtained an injunction. An application was made to vacate the injunction. But the same was denied. Since then the private respondents had been harassing, threatening and assaulting the petitioner and his family members.

Complaints were lodged in this regard. But the police did not act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the private respondents denies the allegations made in the writ petition and submits that it is the petitioner, who was at the

receiving end. Even he has lodged a complaint. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Cases and counter cases had been filed by both the sides. Three FIRs have been registered in this regard. In one of them, a charge sheet has already been submitted. Investigation is going on in the other two.

It is quite strange that the private respondents would harass, intimidate and assault the petitioner after obtaining a favourable order in a Civil Court.

Be that as it may, the police shall look into the security situation if a complaint is made by any of the parties.

Let the FIRs lodged be investigated by the agency properly.

The respondent police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
