BIBEK CHAUDHURI, J. : - 1.

This is an application for expeditious disposal of N case no. 91 of 2021 filed by the petitioners/accused persons in custody arising out of Amdanga Police Station Case no. 389 of 2021 dated 20th July, 2021 under Section 21(C) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1984 presently pending before the Learned Additional Sessions Judge, 6th Court at Barasat.

On perusal of the averment made in the application and having heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner this Court is of the view the instant revision can be disposed of with the assistance of the learned Advocate for the state here and now. Therefore, Mr. Ranabir Roy

Chowdhury and Mr. Mainak Gupta learned Advocate are requested to assist this Court on behalf of the prosecution. 3.

Appointment of Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Mainak Gupta learned Advocates be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioners that the petitioners were arrested on 20th July, 2021 allegedly for committing offence under Section 21(C) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1984 and since then they are in custody. After completion of investigation supplementary chargesheet was submitted on 28th April, 2022. Next date for framing charge was fixed on 23rd September, 2022.

It is further submitted by the learned Advocates for the petitioners that the prosecution is not at all serious for speedy disposal of the case. Therefore, necessary direction may be issued upon the court below for expeditious disposal.

In view of the above factual position, it is premature to pass any order for expeditious disposal of N Case No. 91 of 2021. However, the revisional court is directed to take positive step to frame charge and dispose of the case as early as possible.

The instant criminal revision is disposed of with the above order on contest.
