1. In this writ petition styled as a Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner alleges illegal mining activities on the Hills identified as Paharigora Hill area. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 03.08.2023 which is pending consideration of the authorities.

2. Without going into the merits of the allegations made in the writ petition as well in the representation which has been given there will be a direction to the learned District Magistrate, Purulia to consider the representation after giving notice to the petitioner and the private respondents. Learned District Magistrate, Purulia shall direct an inspection to be conducted of the area in question in which the other stake holders/officials shall also participate viz. the Block Development Officer and the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer also the Pollution Control Authorities. After making such inspection, appropriate orders be passed by the learned District Magistrate on merits and in accordance with law and the same be

communicated to the writ petitioners. This direction shall be complied with within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

3. In order to facilitate the compliance of the above direction, the writ petitioners are directed to personally go to the Office of the learned District Magistrate, Purulia and submit the copy of the representation alongwith the copy of this order in the Office of the learned District Magistrate, Purulia.

4. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
