Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of Sessions Trial No.4 (04) of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ranaghat, Nadia, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party.

The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that charge was framed on 10th April, 2019 and witness action has commenced. In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within two years from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 3719 of 2024 is disposed of.
