The petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved that in spite of the directions passed for further investigation on or about 24.07.2024 in connection with G.R.

Case No.

2057/2022 renumbered with G.R. Case No. 1270/2024 arising out of Ashoknagar PS Case No. 741/22, till date the investigating authority has not been able to throw any light relating to the manner in which they are going to take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

State has submitted a report. I have considered the report and I find although, subsequently, certain sections were added but there has been no progress in the manner in which such type of investigations are to be carried out.

Consequently, I am of the opinion that the investigation of Ashoknagar PS Case No. 741/22 be transferred to the Cyber Crime Police Station, Barasat Police District.

Since substantial time has passed after the registration of the case, the investigation of the case be monitored by a Police Officer in the rank of Additional S.P. of the concerned department.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 21664 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
