The affidavit of service filed in Court today be kept with the record. In spite of service, none appears for the State respondents.

Petitioner has filed this writ petition being aggrieved by inaction on the part of the State respondent authority in not considering his representation dated 17th July, 2023 for remission of sentence of his ailing father who has already suffered imprisonment for about 11 years.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merit of the aforesaid representation, I am inclined to dispose of this writ petition being WPA 21346 of 2023 by directing the respondent no.2 to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation dated 17th July, 2023, in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order, within six weeks from the date of

communication of this order and to communicate such decision to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of taking such decision.
