Md. Younush Mondal ... for the Petitioner Mr. Himadri Sikhar Chakraborty Mr. K. M. Hossain ..for the State The petitioner is aggrieved for not being granted the appointment as 'Asha', despite being congratulated on her performance at the interview, by the head of Pakdah Sub-Centre.

The petitioner appeared at the selection process for being engaged as "Asha".

It is submitted that the interview was held on January 3, 2022 in the office of the Sub Divisional Officer, Barasat(Sadar). The petitioner was selected and was congratulated by the head of the sub centre, but the appointment was not made.

The petitioner submits that a local political leader demanded money, but as the petitioner did not pay the bribe, her candidature was cancelled by the Block Level authorities.

In this writ petition, the petitioner does not mention the name of the leader, who had asked her for bribe. The petitioner also has not mentioned the name of the block level authorities, who cancelled her appointment. There is nothing on record which would

indicate that the petitioner was successful at the interview.

The Writ Court cannot entertain such allegations, without appropriate pleadings and supporting documents The petitioner had demanded justice from the Sub Divisional Officer, Barasat (Sadar), through her learned advocate on July 29, 2022.

The said demand of justice shall be considered and disposed of by the Sub Divisional Officer, Barasat (Sadar), in accordance with law. The decision shall be taken and intimated to the petitioner. Such exercise will be completed within 8 weeks from the date of the communication of this order.

If the allegation of the petitioner is proved to be correct, in that event, remedial measures shall be taken by the authorities.

The Sub Divisional Officer, Barasat (Sadar) shall make a query from the concerned Block Development Officer with regard to the allegation of demand of bribe and the allegation of cancellation of the candidature of the petitioner, for non-payment of the money. This writ petition is disposed of.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
