Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner claims to be an institution which works independently for different media groups, political parties and other relevant stakeholders which conduct pre-poll interviews and surveys in different States prior to the general elections and the State Assembly elections. The petitioner was arrested in connection with the FIR lodged against him alleging offence under Sections 303(2)/318(4)/319(2)/336(3)/338/340(3)/61(2) of the BNS. He was subsequently released on bail. The petitioner seeks protection against further proceedings,

investigations and coercive actions which may be initiated against his company and its employees.

I have considered the material on record. The writ petition pertains to registration of a particular complaint in connection with which the petitioner was arrested and subsequently granted bail.

Since investigation is continuing and the petitioner is on bail, no further protection is required to be granted to the petitioner in this regard. The prayers in the writ petition, in fact, are devoid of any merit and cannot be entertained.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
