Mr. K. M. Rahman ...for the petitioner Mr. Bidyut Kumar Roy Ms. Debadrita Mondal ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by this Court on 09.09.2024 in CRM (A) of 2024.

However, due to miscommunication with the learned advocate, the petitioner could not surrender in time and therefore could not take benefit of the order granting anticipatory bail. He prays for extension of time to surrender.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for extension of time. A warrant of arrest has been issued in the meantime.

It is the petitioner's case that he could not surrender before the learned jurisdictional Court in time as there was a miscommunication with his lawyer.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the time for surrender before the learned jurisdictional Court as directed in the

order granting anticipatory bail is extended by a fortnight. The other conditions of anticipatory bail shall remain the same. With these observations, the application for relaxation of condition of anticipatory bail being CRAN 1 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
