Although the petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for an order directing the police authorities to ensure safety and security to the petitioner but the real controversy arose when the private respondent no. 5 who is the son of the petitioner collected rent from the tenant who is in occupation of the property for one month.

The learned Advocate appearing for the private respondents submits that the private respondent no. 5 has already returned the money collected by him from the tenant to his mother, i.e. the writ petitioner.

Such submission is not disputed by the learned Advocate for the petitioner.

The learned Advocate appearing for the private respondent no. 5 further submits that his client has instructed him to submit that henceforth he will not be collecting the rent from the tenant during the lifetime of the petitioner.

Such submission of the learned Advocate is placed on record.

The grievance of the writ petitioner now appears to have been redressed.

Mr. Dey, learned Additional Government Pleader files a report dated September 5, 2024, which is taken on record.

Recording the above submissions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
