The revisional application has been filed praying for expeditious disposal of Criminal Appeal No. 69/2024 under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, arising out of C. Case No. 2681 of 2023, under Sections 17, 18, 19(1d), 20, 21 & 22 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 pending before the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas.

Considering the nature of relief prayed for, the matter can be disposed of at this stage and as such service is dispensed with.

Accordingly, Ms. Puspita Saha, an empanelled lawyer of the State of West Bengal present in court is appointed to represent the State in the case. Let her appointment be regularized.

It appears that the proceedings before the trial court is a criminal appeal of the year 2024 filed under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of with a direction that the appellate court being the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas shall make all endeavours to dispose of the said criminal appeal expeditiously preferably within one month from the date of communication of this order.

The revisional application stands disposed of. 7.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of necessary formalities.
