1. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he is in custody for one year and five months. It is also submitted there is delay in trial. He prays for bail.

2. Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is in progress.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected on a number of times earlier on merits. Trial is in progress. Under such circumstances we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

4. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

5. Trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within two years from the next date fixed of recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
