The petitioners aggrieved by an order of eviction passed under Section 4 of the Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962 has preferred an appeal under Section 7 thereof.

The petitioners are complaining delay in disposal of the said appeal.

The appeal is pending before the District Magistrate and Collector, Purba Medinipur at Tamluk.

The appellate authority is requested to dispose of the said appeal as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

W.P.A. 21596 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
