Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a driver of a vehicle from which 70 kg. of ganja was recovered. It has also been submitted that the petitioner is in custody for more than 10 months and there is no scope of trial being concluded in the near future.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the commercial quantity of contraband has been seized.

Having considered the quantity of contraband seized, I am of the opinion that the petitioner has failed to overcome the rigors of Section 37 of the NDPS Act. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1130 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.
