He submits he is in custody for more than a year. There is slow progress in the trial of the case.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected on merits in March 2022. Trial is in progress. Though witnesses were not present on 16.9.2022, date has been fixed for examination of witnesses on and from 17.12.2022.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

Learned Special court is requested to conduct the trial with utmost expedition and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
