Petitioner submits there is inordinate delay in trial. He is in custody and charge has not yet been framed. 2.

Mr. Saryati Dutta, learned advocate for State is requested to appear in the matter. Copy of the petition be served upon him.

I have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the sole accused who is in custody. Charge sheet filed in 2021 but charge is yet to be framed.

In such circumstances I direct the trial court to consider the issue of framing of charge at the earliest and in the event the charge is framed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion without granting unnecessary adjournment either of the parties.

Accordingly the application being CRR 3742 of 2024 is disposed of.
