The husband of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of Ibrahimpur Free Primary School, District- Uttar Dinajpur who died-in-harness on January 28, 2019.

The petitioner has applied for compassionate appointment.

Mr. Lahiri, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the West Bengal Central Regional School Service Commission(Northern Region) vide letter bearing Memo no. 108/WBRSSC/NR/2024/G-420/2 dated February 28, 2024 had directed the petitioner to appear before the Commission on March 11, 2024 for verification of her testimonials and consideration of her prayer for compassionate appointment and the petitioner responding to the said letter, had appeared before the Commission. Mr. Lahiri, prays that Commission may be directed to take a decision regarding the prayer of the petitioner.

The Commission is directed to take a decision on the prayer of the petitioner for compassionate appointment within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Needless to say, the decision of the Commission be communicated to the petitioner.

W.P.A. 21811 of 2022 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
