Learned Advocate for the petitioner submis that charge-sheet was submitted on July, 2016, but, till date, charge has not been framed and the petitioner has been accused of offences under Sections341/323/188 of the IPC. The Ld. ACJM, 2nd Court, Baruipur, in seisin, of the matter. Having regard to the plight so expressed by the petitioner, I direct that on 10.11.23, steps be taken by the Learned ACJM, 2nd Court, Baruipur to consider the charges

and conclude the process, if required, within a fortnight from the said date.

Since the case was initiated in the year 2016, I direct the learned Trial Court to fix at least one date in very 45 days so that the trial of the case be completed within a reasonable period of time. If there is any reluctance on the part of the witnesses to appear before the Court, then the ld. ACJM, 2nd Court, Baruipur, would directly issue notice upon the inspector-in-charge, Sonarpur P.S., who would take steps for appearance of the witnesses. All stakeholders would cooperate so that trial of the case is completed at the earliest.

With the above observations, CRR 3372 of 2023 is disposed of.
